This is where our story begins; Federico Contessi, at just 19 years old, founded his first shipyard “La Juventud”. We started building and repairing wooden fishing vessels. Later, in 1965, it became a Public Limited Company by incorporating partners and capital.

We started the fishing activity; Astillero Contessi S.A. along with partner captains and chief engineers, founded the companies: Pesquera Leal, Pesquera Franca, and Pesquera Veraz.

We added the first freezer vessel built in Argentina to our fleet: “NDDANDDU”, built at Astillero Contessi.

We expanded into the business of processing and commercializing seafood products,by acquiring a majority shareholding in the company Centauro S.A.

We successfully resumed operations at the Marechiare cannery, relaunched the brand, and started the production of canned fish products for the domestic market.

We started in the frozen shrimp business.

We started operating the Bonasur S.A. plant in Rawson, Chubut, where we mainly process shrimp, with a focus on retail products.

Explotación Pesquera de la Patagonia S.A. was added to the Group. The company operates a plant in Puerto Deseado, Santa Cruz, and owns two freezer trawlers.

We added the freezer vessel Federico C to our fleet, with a capacity of 140 tons, built at Astillero Contessi and awarded as “BEST SHRIMPER 2021”.

We inaugurated a modern cold storage facility for frozen products in Rawson, with a capacity for 2,500 MT of finished product.
